Agata Lankamer & Agata Konarska duo
In their work, the artists take on the figure of the incel as a modern escapee whose home are virtual worlds. An incel is a person considered to be part of the world of chauvinism, living with a sense of rejection by society and in (unwanted) celibacy. The artists examine the motivations of incels with empathy and without judgment. In the video installation they created, the audience visits an (anti-)utopian garden – a symbol of the incel’s fantasy and frustration, a place of his virtual loneliness.
